I am reading Triggers for the second time. It's an enjoyable read. It is penned by a marketing and copywriting legend, Joseph Sugarman, the founder of JS&A. JS&A successfully sold an array of new electronics through direct mail direct advertising.Joe Sugarman was the first marketer to use 1-800 numbers and accept Credit Card purchases over the phone. He has sold over 20 million pairs of BluBlocker Sunglasses. I absolutely love this Joe Sugarman! I'm an entrepreneur and a marketing student and I've learned so much from this book. It's very easy to read with lots of great examples. I now understand why people buy Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, etc. and why people drive Maseratis. This guy made it so easy to understand the concept behind almost every product sold in the market. I couldn't get enough of Joe so I bought almost all of the books that he wrote.

I purchased this book with expectations of a series of quick tips to help my book sales. Instead what I got was a series of well thought out examples of solid ideas that were all grounded in one main theme honesty.Quite surprising to read in today's 'You can make a quick million just like me' environment that I see in so many ebooks.Mr. Sugarman was well versed in his salesmanship and stressed honesty and integrity as the key to being successful.I will be looking for more of his books.

Each of 30 sales triggers are described in detail and the appendix is an abbreviated description and blank sheets to write out answers and info on how you and your company can best use each trigger. I cut out the entire appendix and made copies so that I could use them again and again. Excellent! It’s an easy read with psychology behind every trigger and why each helps you to sell convince or persuade.
